Questions & Answers (FAQ)

Previous experience

Previous experience paragliding is not required by passengers. In fact, all passengers will receive brief instructions prior to take-off concerning the actual take-off, flight and landing.

Equipment

We provide helmets, harnesses, hiking boots and windbreakers to all of our passengers. Feel free, however, to bring your own boots, jackets, gloves, sunglasses, etc.

If you are planning to travel by train, don’t forget to bring your train pass.

Age

Nobody is too young or too old to fly. Passengers between the ages of 5 – 84 have soared through the air with us. All that we request is a signed consent form by parents/legal guardians for children and teenagers under the age of 16.

Weight

Tandem flight possibilities for passengers under 30kg (60lbs.) and over 110kg (220 lbs.) are assessed on an individual basis.

Required time

The expected time for a tandem paragliding flight depends on your flight preference. Required time ranges from 1.5 hours to 4 hours, which includes travel time to take-off, take-off procedures, and your actual flight.

Flight reservations

Get in touch with us via e-mail or telephone to schedule your desired flight. Once we are in contact, a date, time and meeting point will be scheduled. We suggest booking flights a week in advance of your preferred flight date to ensure optimal availability. Spontaneous bookings are welcome and accepted upon availability only.

Weather

We fly according to your wishes; however, we can’t control Mother Nature. Rainfall, fog, or strong winds may result in a rescheduling of your booked tandem flight. We therefore recommend that you confirm your booked flight with us the previous evening or the morning of your scheduled flight in order to avoid any unnecessary travelling time.

Groups

We can fly groups of up to 15 people at the same time upon request. All of our tandem pilots are professionally trained and fully licensed by the Swiss Paragliding Association. Our pilots’ many years of experience guarantees optimal safety standards during your entire paragliding flight.

Tandem paragliding flight vouchers

You will receive your paragliding flight voucher in the mail upon ordering your preferred flight voucher together with a gift envelope and payment order. Your paragliding voucher is valid for two years and can be used upon received payment. Please keep in mind that flight vouchers, gift envelopes and payment orders are only sent within Switzerland. For individuals residing outside of Switzerland, flight vouchers may also be purchased online.

Rescheduling a paragliding flight

Paragliding flights can be rescheduled subsequent to reserved bookings.

Transferring a flight voucher

Paragliding flight vouchers can be transferred to other passengers upon request.

Safety & Material

Paragliding safety is a combination of excellent equipment and experienced and knowledgeable pilots, who have the superb ability to handle paragliders. When it comes to safety, we offer the maximum degree! Paragliders are safe. The construction of a paraglider with its thin lines and light canopy may appear delicate and unstable to the average person, but, the fact of the matter is, the opposite is true! All paragliders are tested and officially approved by the German Hanggliding and Paragliding Federation. In order for a test paraglider to pass inspection, it must be able to withstand 8 times the force, strain, and impact of an average flight. Such paragliding safety procedures surpass those required by aviation inspections, whose safety margins must withstand 3 times the strain, force and impact. This means of course that safety tests and procedures of paragliders exceed those demanded by aviation. Furthermore, paragliding accidents resulting from failed equipment are practically unheard of.
